Hertfordshire Traffic police (Great Britain) conducted a study to find out what people do while driving their cars. The police installed hidden video cameras along the highway M25 and watched the traffic for about an hour. Find the surprising results of this study after the jump.
According to the Daily Mail, 14 drivers among those who drove past cameras within that one hour were busy with the most unusual things. One driver was pouring corn flakes into a cup and filling them up with milk. Needless to mention that his hands weren’t on the steering wheel while he was still driving.
Another driver was eating a sandwich and adjusting his radio at the same time, while another one was text messaging somebody via his cell phone. Five more drivers were talking on the phone using their free hands to gesture to the tact of their conversation. One driver was napping, and the other two were drinking something out of the bottles.
The most unusual fact noticed by police was that men were the main traffic perpetrators and lawbreakers since it is not allowed to eat, drink, read, talk over the phone and adjust the radio while driving in Great Britain.
