Yup it is a month full of awareness. In Fact, December was named National Awareness Month. Go Figure! As we did some research we found a ton of different things to be aware of and support during the month of December. A lot of them were serious including cancer, Aids, Autism, and Breast Cancer. We thought we would pick on some of the more obscure and little known things to be aware of during December and mix them up a bit.

SAD
If you find yourself sad or blue during the winter months you might have SAD. Sad stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder. It happens each and every season from September until April. Key symptoms include mood changes, loss of libido, anxiety, social problems, depression, sleep issues, lethargy, over eating, and loss of concentration.

International Safe Toys and Gifts Month
Tis the season to be jolly, but this is also the month to buy safe toys and gifts. I guess if you don’t buy your toys in December you can be unsafe? No Yard Darts for YOU!

Choose A Summer Camp Month
If you are cold think about summer and begin your decision on which summer camp you will visit or send your kids to.

National Tie Month
Celebrate by buying a tie for Christmas. Seems commercial to me!

Procrastination Awareness Month
Wait I’ll write about that later.

Love Your Neighbor Month
Hug a Neighbor not a Tree!

Hand washing Awareness Month
In the December temps they should also add chapped hands month.

International Calendar Awareness Month
Hurry buy your calendar for next year and start writing in all those dates, holidays, and oh yeah all those things we need to be aware of each month.
