Back in 1985 the 55 MB HDD HP 7945A came to the market and sold for $7,500. These days they can be purchased for between $100 and $150. Some of them are still in excellent condition and functional.

I used to have a 6 MHz IBM PC AT with a 20MB HD. Threw it to the bin back in the 90's, wish I hadn't.

In the late 80s, I paid a little over $800 for a 60MB CMS SCSI drive. Unfortunately it took Hurricane Andrew in 92 to grind it to a halt (humidity overload).
