Uncanny Factoid: Key to My Art (4 pics)

This locksmith shop has unusual and interesting artwork as part of the buildings structure. It looks like something out of the art deco period, until you get up close and then you see it.

The artwork on the building is actually created from discarded keys. That is a great way of using those discarded useless keys without littering the garbage with them.

When you look at this building up close you can see all the detail and can imagine the hard work that went into adding these key designs to the building.

It was created with tens of thousands of keys and Mr. Mortillaro added the keys to the building in October of 2010. That is a lot of work for just 30 days, pretty impressive as his lock smith abilities.

Learn Something Fun: The oldest known door lock is about 4,000 years old and was found at an ancient palace in Egypt.
