The Brutal Truth in Some Advertising (31 pics)

Oftentimes advertisers dig in to consumer’s serious side by laying out intense and thought provoking advertisements. The following creative but chilling ads will make you think twice before calling the advertising world a vast soulless cesspool. It appears that these ads were meant to catch your attention in a much more meaningful way.

@know that - and I assume you are a Muslim man who says that. Besides, if they were raised without being told they have to, how many of them would choose to? How many western women choose to cover themselves??? Ever thought about it this way?

@ Norm101 Well, most of Muslim women I know choose to cover themselves and if there are those who does NOT, they just don't. Just saying.

@Tom. If they were raised without being told they have to, I'm still pretty sure they would still cover themselves as they grow older out of willingness. Well, I am not sure how many western women choose to cover themselves but personally I would and I do, only because I desire to please only my husband and not strangers. But again it's everybody's personal opinion.

Hey “know that” and “loves nature” you must live in a westernized country or one of the more liberal theocracies. What gets me is how you think strange men get pleasure from seeing your hair. It must be because your society is so repressed. Personally, I hardly look twice a women’s hair, unless it's dyed green. Very narcissistic.
I think the ad is referring to more than covering up. Think Saudi Arabia.

There's no need to be angry, dj. Take a deep breath. I never said anything about hair :| I just said cover themselves. It could be cover the body etc. As I said, it's personal opinion. I never said it's EVERYONE's opinion right?
Saudi Arabia? Honestly, until I go there myself and see it for myself I will say if what you may think is true or not. I can't just judge from what media says or stereotyping it just because others are stereotyping.

I say lots of women says they choose to cover themselves because they don't want to face the fact that their refusal would mean a rift from the traditions and the family. Furthermore, in lots of muslim country your value is set by how "good" of a muslim you are, so basically refusing to cover yourself equals seperating from your family and being an outcast. Not much of a choice huh ?
