A protestor was shot in the water like a sitting duck as he protested against duck hunting. It seems a hunter was taking aim at a low flying duck and hit a protestor in the face.
Not Just Japan
This sign sits at the Hartford Nuclear Reservation in the far northwestern corner of the Western Hemisphere. It is said that is the most contaminated place in that part of the Hemisphere.
Even though the site was closed in 1988 clean up still continues and the US spends over 2 billion dollars a year to continue cleanup efforts. If everything continues on schedule it might be completed in the year 2052.
Amazing Work
This is the Great Kanto Highway in Naka. It was destroyed during the quake on March 11th. Work began on the road on March 17th and just six days later it looks new again as you can see. Now that is dedication. People can now get to where they need to go again with ease.
Death Rush
A new fad in Russia is both extreme and dangerous. It is called Metro Surfing. These teens grab the back of subways as they rush along and ride them to the end of the line, sometimes their end.
Teens are dying from fractured bones and fatal spinal traumas as they smash into low tunnel entrances. The tunnels were not created for anything outside the cars said one police investigator.
World Mourning
People flock to Elisabeth Taylor’s star on the Hollywood walk of fame to give homage to a amazing starlet after a heart attack took her life at age 79. She was quite a woman and a star with eight marriages under her belt, fifty movies, two Oscars and over 100 operations. She will be missed.
