BTW, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish is more or less the same (mutual intelligibility). Dutch and Afrikaans too.

German is Easy as hell, but Hungarian is harder than most of the languages.

Finish and Hungarian are related languages (to each other), so they are both hard. They are not related to English at all, but Russian and Polish are. German is just as close as Scandinavian languages and dutch.

for the hardest lang. I know about arabic, the standard one (not the national versions) are way too hard than any of them.

arabic is easy,polish too.learned them both along with hungarian wich was a bit difficult.german is easy,italian,spanish and portughese are easy because they are related to my langiage.i think the most difficult are the northern languages and japanese with asian.

anyway it depends on you language of origin.this was don by americans .so for a english native is harder to learn some langiages.for a german is harder to learn another set of languages.depends what do you have at the origin of your lkanguage,latin,slavic and so on..

So where is German in that list? A language that roughly about a 100 million people in Europe speak. Pretty dumb not to list it I must say...
