Jennifer Lopez May Not Return To American Idol
Jennifer Lopez joined American Idol as a judge this season but now she has announced that she is “on the fence” about returning to the show next season because she is just so busy with other projects. The actress and singer said she loved her time on the show and she has not been forced to make a decision as to whether to return or not but her future as a judge is uncertain because she has to make a choice about what she wants to do in the coming year. Lopez, who made $12 million dollars as a judge on American Idol this season is working on her own singing competition show with her husband Marc Anthony. The show, “Que Viva!: The Chosen” will focus on undiscovered vocal talent in Latin America.
Britney Spears’ Dad Wants a Raise
Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears is back in court asking for a raise for directing and managing the logistics of his daughter’s Femme Fatale Tour that kicked off yesterday in Sacramento, California. Spears filed legal papers asking the judge for an unspecified amount of money although sources say the amount will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for the 8-month world tour. Whatever raise the judge awards him will be in addition to the $16,000 a month he gets for serving as Britney’s conservator.
Hugh Hefner’s Revenge on Crystal Harris
Crystal Harris may have blindsided Hugh Hefner by suddenly breaking up with him and calling off their wedding just five days before they were to tie the knot but Hefner is having the last laugh. Prior to calling it quits, Harris was scheduled to appear on the July cover of Playboy magazine with a title reading “Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner” but with the wedding off and the relationship over, Hefner decided to slap a giant red sticker that reads “Runaway Bride” on every issue of the magazine that had not been shipped out yet and all issues appearing on newsstands. Harris claims she called off the wedding because she could not handle Hefner’s lifestyle that involves being with multiple women at once.
Buzz Aldrin Divorces Third Wife
Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin has filed for divorce from his third wife. Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, married Lois Driggs Cannon on Valentine’s Day in 1988. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce in his petition filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The couple has no children together.
Rebecca Black Yanks Her Video off YouTube
A dispute over Rebecca Black’s image has led to her officially yanking her popular “Friday” video off of YouTube. Black’s representative says a Take Down Notice was submitted to YouTube as a result of a dispute with Ark music regarding the “Friday” video. Earlier in the week, Ark set “Friday” up as a $2.99 YouTube video rental, a move Black’s team says wrongfully exploits her image and song because Ark does not own the rights to either.
Karissa Shannon Dumps Sam Jones
Playmate Karissa Shannon and Smallville star Sam Jones have called it quits. Multiple sources connected with the ex-couple say Shannon pulled a cruel bait-and-switch on Jones before dumping him. Allegedly Shannon told Jones she needed to move back into the Playboy mansion for professional reasons but after he helped her pack up her stuff, she told him their relationship was over and confessed that she was actually moving in with her twin sister. The couple recorded a song together called “Juice and Vodka”.
