This is a list of the winners of 2011 Golden Joystick Awards. Golden Joystick is the oldest gaming award ceremony in the world, where people vote for the best computer and video games of the year.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a beautiful place in southern Poland. It used to produce table salt for over 800 years till 2007 being one of the oldest companies in the world. This mine is referred to as ‘the undeground salt cathedral of Poland’ that attracts 1.2 million tourists from all over the world annually who come to see historic statues and mythical figures carved out of the rock salt.

I read a rumour online that stated you could see through Darth Vader's mask eye-lenses at the end of the movie, during the Death Star trench scene, and see David Prowse's eyes(Darth Vader's 'body' actor in Eps I -> III). I had some free time today and slow-mo'ed through my Special Edition DVD with these parts with Darth Vader and confirmed this (see pic 1). More interestingly, and I think I'm the first to see this, it seems like digital artists have composited Hayden Christian's "yellow" eye onto a shot (see pic 2). This is weird because you can see both David Prowse's eye AND Hayden Christian's "yellowed" eye super-imposed above it. It happens at 01:50:32 on my UK, Region 2 DVD. I used VLC to alter "Adjust and effects" to find these. For my monitor, hue is set to lowest, Contrast is set full, brightness is set to ~80%, saturation 50% and gamma 10%.

Apparently in 2011 raves are still going on throughout the world, but they have stepped up their light show game. These images show off some of the hottest and brightest rave parties we would be lucky to be a part of.

Many of the people protesting Wall Street brought their dogs along with them, and have been very liberal with using them to spread their message. The protest has literally gone to the dogs.

There is a bacon epidemic sweeping the nation, which is not just disturbing to pigs. Every conceivable product has been infiltrated, for all those people who want to eat, smell and wear bacon every day of the week.

While it doesn’t come as a surprise that many Japanese women have bizarre fashion sense, it is still shocking nonetheless.

Found in the belly of its bull shark mother, this astounding real life albino baby shark appears to have one eye!

This poor dog was saved and resuscitated after being trapped in a house fire by this brave fireman using a technique he likely doesn’t apply too often. What a lucky dog.

Amazingly, some of the more popular movies in the past 20 years have been immediately copied within months of their release. See which big time flicks have very similar rivals.

These little cuties will melt your heart. Of all the baby meerkat pictures on the Internet, and there are a lot of them, these 20 are probably the cutest.

Muammar Gaddafi’s death yesterday was a triumphant day for the Libyan people and marked a new beginning for the much-maligned country. Choppy video uploaded to YouTube revealed that the 69-year-old had been killed in his coastal hometown of Surt by what appeared to be a bullet to the head. His last moments on Earth appeared as violent as his 42-year dictatorship.
