Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) had to treat, but more importantly, clean up a stray dog that was extremely dirty.
Remember that not everything you are about to see is pleasant.
The hair of the animal was so long that the dog seemed to double its size. In addition, the dirt that had accumulated was so significant that a thick crust had formed on the poor dog.
Six SPA employees took three-hour turns to shave and groom the animal.
A local vet clinic cared for the dog for about a week, and then returned it back to the SPA.
The animal, which age was estimated to about ten years, was adopted two days after its return from the clinic. The dog’s behavior was very friendly with the workers of the SPA. It is a happy ending for this little ball of fluff.
Sadly it does however show how badly these type of dogs are suited for the real world. They are human pets, nothing else.
Thank God for a few good people out there who join in the battle against animal abuse.
Zero tolerance for animal abusers.
