These unusual planters can save you some space.

 

The unique upside-down planters designed by Patrick Morris don’t sacrifice your floor space. The self-watering pot of the Boskke Sky Planter reduces the frequency with which you’ll need to water your plants.The upside-down plant and soil are held in place by a locking disc and mesh. The water goes straight to the roots thanks to the internal reservoir system.

that's been the best way to grow tomato plants for a long time. you avoid all the headaches of keeping them upright, and the yields are better.
