The L.L. Bean Bootmobile is the Ford truck-powered Bootmobile used as a promotional icon for L.L. Bean’s 100th anniversary. It does attract attention of other drivers and passers-by.
The prop boot is scaled to fit someone who's approximately 143 feet (43.6 meters) tall. It's 13 feet (about 4 meters) tall at its highest point, 20.6 feet (6.3 meters) long and 7.6 feet (2.3 meters) wide. From its donor truck, the Bootmobile gets power from a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine, producing 400 hp. Indeed, it kicks giant ass, with 800 lb-ft of torque.
