A 23-year-old Livermore, California man Robert Gibbs weighs an astonishing 600 pounds, and took to YouTube to ask for help on his birthday. Within 24-hours the video had received 200,000 views and he had received a call from the Dr. Phil show.

Why is it almost everyone has sympathy for drunks and drug addicts, but none for people who can't stop eating? At least fat people won't rob you or do you bodily harm to support their habit. Keep in mind drug abuse and alcoholism are not illnesses.
