As a percentage, Muslim immigrants are pretty low. Most Bosniaks converted by the sword, as was customary by Ottoman rule. If you didn't convert, life was much harder including much higher taxes.
There are a group of Muslim immigrates that we should all be very afraid of who came to Sarajevo in the 90's. They were the fighters of the 7th Muslim Brigade, who still have ties to al Qaeda. There are still hundreds living within BH.
Up until the Bosnian war, Bosniaks only comprised 35 to 40% of the population. Now they are a majority of the city, mainly because over a 100,000 Orthodox Christians and Catholics moved away from Sarajevo. This is a typical evacuation that happens when any Muslim rule happens to a multicultural city.
