A bike that was thought to be lost forever has been found in the most unexpected place.

A container with a Harley-Davidson bike has been found on the shore of the Graham Island, Canada. The license plate said that it was registered in the Miyagi Prefecture, a region in Japan which suffered a devastating tsunami in 2011. Apparently, the bike in a container was washed away and made a 6500 km long journey across the ocean. The man who made the find left the bike on the beach, where it got half-buried in the sand, as the container eventually broke. Harley-Davidson Company is reported to cover the expenses of repair works and the shipping of the bike back to its owner.

The bike as it was first found.

Ikuo Yokoyama, the owner of the bike

What the bike used to look like before the tsunami.

It would have been better if they showed the restored bike.

What scares the hell out of me is that if a Harley can make it across, what about all the radioactive debris?

I read a follow up story to this. Harley Davidson had to replace just about everything on the bike due to water damage.
When Ikuo got the bike back it ran exactly like it did before the flood - like shit.

He sold the bike the following week and bought a Yamaha.
