Violet D’Mello and her husband Archie, a U.K. couple, were traveling in South Africa when two cheetahs in the Kragga Kamma game reserve attacked her.
The cheetahs were supposed to be tame, but ended up biting her legs and stomach and one grabbed the back of her neck.
Smartly, Violet decided to play dead, which proved critical to her survival.
All the while her husband was snapping photos of the mauling, instead of trying to help her.
