A lioness jumped out of the grass to catch the antelope – and missed. The high-speed camera captured how the predator almost clamped her jaws around the antelope’s leg before the impala bounded away.
The photographers later noticed that the lioness had one eye blind, so she had probably misjudged the distance to her prey.
