100% agree - I know someone who loved life and wanted to stay around more than anything else but died. I'd trade a million people who took their own life for that person.
Depression is a serious illness. Every bit as deadly and debilitating as cancer, heart disease, etc. The only difference is, people don't look sick, so no empathy for them.
Unless any of you ignorant sots have experienced severe depression, where your world is grey, where you are looking up from a deep, black pit, with no light in sight, where you are so despairing, so lost, then you need to open your minds to the silent suffering of others.
