#9, i believe lungfish relatives and some others can sleep longer. when their lake is dying they dig down in to the mud, secrete a cocoon, and go in to some torpor / hibernative state until the climate shifts and the rains start falling again years later. pollen grains and seeds can apparently 'sleep' for thousands of years, too.
