This guy is a software engineer an he had never done any art before attempting this wall mural but decided to give it a try for his mom who loves Orchids. I’d say that it’s a brilliant job for a software engineer who has no artistic skills to speak of!
I knew I couldn't free hand it, so my best bet was to use the grid and tape as my guide.
Filling in every layer took way more paint than I anticipated.

As I went along, I would keep on readjusting the tape until I was happy with it.

End of phase 1, it was really scary taking all of the tape off.
