The 2013 “Muslim Miss World” contest is organised by a women’s group called the World Muslimah Foundation. The event has been running for three years and is held exclusively for Muslim women who are judged not only on their appearance (in Islamic dress) but also their religious knowledge and understanding of the Koran. This year’s winner is 21 year old Obabiyi Aishah Ajibola from Nigeria.
