Ohhh and USA has many problems like all country in the world, but they have good (few) people like all country to.
I´m proud of my brown skin color and my son is white thanks to my wife, that´s no make us different at the end we are happy being what we are; a united happy family, i dont know if you understand that, my appreciate lonely friend Mr. Ree.
Just for cleared; i dont want offend you, just a point of view from a brown and mexican friend.
Although not all darker skinned people strive to be white, too many do. They come from all over the globe, land in Europe and North America and proceed to take our names and claim to be Irish, English, French, etc., dye/bleach their hair, wear coloured contact lenses (blue, green) and bleach their skins. Why, if you hate us so much?
I can see the end of white culture in the future, which is a shame. Collectively, it is brilliant, breathtaking and will never be seen again. The Western world will be turned into a colossal garbage dump. Polluted, filthy, reeking, overpopulated with the breeding hordes. That is the future. And, unless there is a plague, it is on the gallop.
As for Ree....I doubt if he is alone. If he is, it's probably by choice. He is too intelligent and (he won't like this) too kind hearted.
These are actual people living in the US today, not some racist paranoiac fantasy about the future 'browning' of 'Murrica.
The National Geographic article from which they were taken is about how people of mixed ethnicity see themselves, an important consideration considering that between 2000 and today the number of people who check the Census box for 'Mixed heritage' has gone from 6.8 million to 10 million, the fastest growing segment of the population.
Not the bullshit that has been posted and reposted by bigots wailing over the fact that there is no such thing as white, black, brown, red, and yellow races; only humans. Only differing heritages separate us but these are facile, ever-changing, identities.
I suggest people read the NG story, it's quite interesting. But for those who have already made up their mind (like many of the commenters here and elsewhere) it would be a waste of time. They should crawl back under their rock with others of their ken and hide from the truth.
