Number 15 makes no sense. If you leave it on the rack as they demonstrate in the picture, it'll still be the same temperature as the oven. Sure it didn't melt but lets all grab the 450 degree silicone and see who doesn't get burned.

silicone is a good heat conductor, so that might help it discharge its heat more quickly than the other oven parts. not to mention it's probably in a compound with a heat insulating material, which would help it even more...
