Have always been in favor of somehow, someway, someday building cities that weren't entirely steel, concrete and glass. But, not just potted plants, either.

Agree, cities should become more green. I like these buildings, but I wish the plants could be more useful, like providing food or something. I want cities with fruit, vegetable and herb gardens on the rooftops, plus honey production. It would be good for several reasons. The best one would be that cities will be less dependent of the agricultural land surrounding the city. It would change the appearance of the city to something less artificial. It would also reduce flooding in the streets because the water will stay longer on the rooftops, and some of it will be used by the plants.

Indeed. Imagine a village, town or even larger city that was totally independent for energy, water, foods and other sustenance. What a difference such would be for this planet!
