Religious people are some of the biggest egoists in the world since all the 'kind and good' things they do and the way they live their life is all about securing their own asses a seat in heaven..
Have you ever thought about the way christians 'helps' people? They don't help you for free as they pretend to, their 'help' is a way to sell you their religious BS.
It's a two-way street...
** Patriotism is NOT:**
- Shoving LGBT in everyone's face
- Thinking outlawing firearms will eliminate violent crime
- Bullying communities of religion and faith
- Treating illegals like they didn't break the law as their first act upon arrival
- Pissing on anyone who doesn't agree with you

Truth. (JFK, where are you?)
There's more to it then just guns. It's culture and economy and a lot of things that we tend to ignore.
There's an old saying that goes way back - outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns. In Europe, that's exactly how it works.
That old (American?) saying don't apply to Europe. I'll bet you that the homicides and gun related deaths in the combined western Europe countries in a year is less than what you got in one single state in the US in a year..
A wise man once said that you can judge a society based on how many inmates a country got.
How many inmates do US got per citizen? Most of all western countries..
As for Europe? Up until a few years ago, my sister and her husband lived in London flat... if mem serves, off a street called Blair. I got emails from her regularly of the crimes in their area and the sounds of gunshots they heard. They simply did not go out after dark. He changed jobs and they've since moved to Wales.
I just don't see the logic in blaming guns for all the violent crimes when there is a human being pulling the trigger. It's like we're trying to sidestep looking in the mirror at who and what we are.
As far as jails/prisons go? Yeah, in the US, it is more an industry than anything. Making prisons privately owned is a sad mistake in my opinion.
