Full Metal Jacket (1987)

Arnold was too busy in Commando and Predator. He was going to play Animal Mother.

Hulk (1978)

Arnold was the choice but they went for Lou Ferrigno because Schwarzenegger was deemed too short.

Die Hard (1988)

Did you know that this was supposed to be like a sequel to Commando? But Arnold said "No sequels" and Bruce Willis became a star.

Air Force One (1997)

The part of the president was written for Kevin Costner, but after he declined Arnie was asked. He, Tom Hanks and Dennis Quaid said no. That's how we ended up with President Ford.

Spiderman (1991)

You read it correctly there was a movie concept in 1990 for Spiderman with Arnold as a villain but producers were less than impressed. And James Cameron was writing the script!

Face-Off (1997)

The movie with Cage and Travolta was supposed to be a movie with Schwarzenegger and Stallone, rumors say they hated each other back then and Sly was not happy about it.

RoboCop (1987)

Remember when Arnie was too small for Hulk? This time he was too big. The effects team seriously could not vision making a RoboCop suit for him.

I Am Legend (2007)

This movie was in making for over 10 years, first Ridley Scott who was supposed to be directing bailed and then Arnold went away because of that.

Total Recall 2

Never heard of it? That's because Arnie read the script and said "This is so stupid I'm not doing it."

Terminator (1984)

What? You say he played in it? Yes he did, but not the role he was suppose to. Originally Arnold was the good guy - Kyle Reese but they could not find an actor worthy of the role of Terminator. Arnold ended up being the terminator and playing the good guy in the sequel.

In The Terminator, Lance Henrikson was originally supposed to play the machine and Arnie was going to be Kyle Reece, but it was Arnie that convinced James Cameron that he should get the role of the machine.
