The rapper filed for bankruptcy last July. He declared that his property of $8.8 million and bank accounts with $4.7 million plus some assets give the total of approximately $16 million.
He also said that he filed for bankruptcy for his own protection, so he’s not taken advantage of. But the US Authorities doubt the veracity of his statement after these photos of him with piles of money appeared on Instagram. So a bankruptcy court official asked a federal judge in Connecticut to order a review of 50 Cent’s assets. However, the rapper’s lawyers said that the cash used in these photos was fake and was served as a marketing move to improve his brand and image.
And just several months before 50 Cent’s bankruptcy declaration, Forbes placed 50 Cent the 4th in their Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists list, estimating his net worth at $155 million.
