"Tax breaks for the wealthy" is a misnomer.
First, most tax breaks go to the middle class.

Second, redistribution, taxing one person just to give money to another, is four times as large as tax deductions.
Over 60% of the federal budget is redistribution.
Want a flat tax, no deduction? Fine. The proper lower flat rate will end ALL games by politicians.
High rates/unfair deductions are just another way of buying votes.
