Lapland is Finland’s northernmost region bordering Sweden, Norway, Russia and the Baltic Sea. It’s known for its vast subarctic wilderness, ski resorts and natural phenomena including the midnight sun and the Northern Lights. Egor Tsvetkov created a project called "Your Face is Big Data" to show how powerful facial recognition software has become that it can let a complete stranger to find you in just several clicks of a button. Egor used “FindFace” app to scan strangers on St. Petersburg metro and the results are quite worrisome. He found without any difficulty those people’s social media profiles. He said, “My project is a clear illustration of the future that awaits us if we continue to disclose as much about ourselves on the internet as we do now.”
The Boryeong Mud Festival is an annual festival which takes place during the summer in Boryeong, a town around 200 km south of Seoul, South Korea. Girls take a very active part in it, their favorite thing to do is a playful wrestling.
