Also in the movie Pearl Harbor, it's 1941 and in the military restaurant, or whatever they call it - nobody is smoking; another thing, there were no slant deck aircraft carriers then - (too many more to mention) but this is the funniest; the captain of the aircraft carrier is calling for full speed ahead and when the camera pulls back, the anchor chain has deployed so the anchor is still on the seabed.

Of the many historical mistakes made in this movie, the Persians are shown as highly unorganized; however, in reality they were a strong and formidable power that required Alexander’s best to defeat them. Also, the Persian King Darius III was shown to be rather young when he was really in his 50’s at the time.
