A Nintendo 64

My sister donated to an animal rescue that I really love and I cried when I read the note that she put in the box that also had a shirt from his rescue channel.

A Phantom of the Opera snow globe…there is a whole story behind it.

Even better ….bought a present for my Dad that brought tears to his eyes. We all chipped in and bought tickets for him to go to the Daytona 500. He hadn’t been to the race since he was a young man with his Dad who had since passed away. He saw the tickets and the tears welled up in his eyes. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house after that.

In August four years ago I went through a traumatic experience with my dog and had to put him down. My girlfriend commissioned artists from all over the world to paint their version of my dog and turned it into a book. It was the most emotional gift I ever received.

A few years after he passed away and she could finally let it go, my grandmother gave me my grandfather’s watch with a handwritten note telling me how much he wanted me to have it.

My grandpa got me a turnip when I was 6 or 7 and I legit cried.

I helped my cousin (who was more like a grandfather) restore a 1953 Ford F100 – He unexpectedly passed away a few years back. Fast forward to Christmas that year, his wife read me the will that had him leaving me his truck. Tears everywhere.

Sig Sauer P226 9mm handgun wrapped in a Yeti 20, Christmas 2014. I get choked up thinking about it today.

It’s not a Christmas gift but my daughter when she was 14 had just gotten a keyboard and she wrote me a song for Father’s day. I’ve never cried so much in my life.

Cards against humanity…

A piece of Ireland! It seems crazy but it’s the same companies where you can have a star named after you basically. I own a square foot of property and bawled like a baby receiving it! Ireland will always hold a special place in my heart-it was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received.

I had been talking to my brother about buying a specific guitar, and I was saving money to do so. One day I go to get the cash and it was missing. I was devastated. Fast forward several months to the holidays and my brother hands me a guitar case and says check it out. There in the case, was a Gretsch Jet in Casino Gold. The exact guitar I had been saving for. I was speechless.

When I was pretty young, not sure of my age… my sister bought me my first ever CD, it was Hootie and the Blowfish… I had never heard of this band, when I read out loud to myself their name… I laughed, so hard I cried… I think the bet part is that I ended up loving the heck out of the album :-) i got a pretty cool sister :-)

My father bought me a 1957 Chevy truck for Xmas before I turned 16. This was in 2004.

Eagles playoff tickets on the super bowl run.

Aw! I’m in Afghanistan and just got a box full of pumpkin spice stuff AND yoga pants…Could be the basic white girl in me but I teared up, never realized how much I actually miss the holiday time of year back home!

My wife got me Queensrÿche, Operation: Mindcrime on vinyl.

P226- Has been on my wish list for ages. I wouldn't have cried if someone gave me one though.

Guess I'll have to buy it myself. Wish I would have done that when they were only $800.

"My grandpa got me a turnip when I was 6 or 7 and I legit cried."

Why? Did he hit you with it?
