#13 Left out one of the best woods there is - Ash. Easy and clean to grow, to cut, to split; it also needs no significant seasoning, which means you can burn it for heat almost immediately; and it burns very cleanly. I did some logging and tree work in my younger days, and if I had a choice, I'd take Ash.
