My neighbor was a retired school teacher who went a little nuts not having a daily routine. She loved all the free time to do whatever she wanted but she missed being around a lot of people everyday doing tasks together. So she went back to work within a couple of months as a greeter at our local Wal-Mart. She absolutely loved it. I told her, her cheese's slipped off her cracker wanting to be at Wal-Mart day after day. But she said that the best part of her job is seeing so many people she'd taught for forty years at the local grade school, some of them now in high school, a lot others who have their own kids now going to the same school, and even more who're grandparents and remembers parent/teachers meetings. She said every day there's a reunion of one or the other. Plus she said she still got to be in a busy place where everyone was doing the same tasks. lol I miss her.
