My last boss leaned back in the chair and scratched the floor with my CV. As I told him that I have studied he asked surprised „oh. You were at an university?!“ yes. If you would have read my f@#king cv instead of playing cool. Got the job and took for the need of money. It turned out to be the most incompetent boss ever. He asked me simple things about excel and word, yelled at me if his wife was mad at him and the next day I was his best friend. Was paid by minimum wage with an absolutely crazy unreachable bonus system. He laughed at me as I quit after 4 years and mentioned that he was expecting this.
It's illegal in Canada too. It's also illegal to ask someone's age....even though ageism is rampant anyway.
If men shared parenting more, employers wouldn't be as reluctant.
