My ex-best friend had told me that she had needed to buy another new vacuum cleaner, the 3rd that month. I asked her what was wrong with it and she said “It’s not picking things up anymore!” So I asked if she had dumped out the container… she didn’t know that was a thing.

A colleague of me once asked if people have ever been riding dinosaurs or if the dinosaurs went extinct before humans came to be. Me, a former dinosaur kid, now an adult who tries to keep an eye on the latest news about dinosaur finds could not believe my ears. She is around 50 years old and have a masters degree. It made me realize that what I see as common knowledge may not be so. (or she's an idiot...)
