In Europe, Budweiser is a different brand of beer — so you'll find American Budweiser sold as just Bud.

As an American, I can say you are correct. The quantity of obese people I see daily is disheartening.
To be fair nearly all the food shown is snack food / candies, not really what meals are made of.
