i buy bottles that are recyclable and they come with a 5 cent deposit, i have to physical check each bottle to make sure its recyclable in my state because i use to get bottles that could only be returned for the deposit "In Hawaii", i dont live in Hawaii and in fact i lives in New England which is as far away from Hawaii as you can get in the states
so why send these bottles here? its because they want to charge you a refund but they don't actually want to give it back to you
"F"ing politicians, nothing but thieves, sure they want you to feel guilty about plastic everywhere but they dont want to actually do anything about it but the minimum
her's an idea, have a 15 cent charge on everything made out of plastic no matter what it is from a used tube of toothpaste to an old kurige coffee maker, candy wrappers and the bags they come in and everything in between
there wont be a piece of plastic laying on the ground anywhere, the streets will be spotless because they homeless will be picking it up off the ground and give them plastic trash bags made from the recycled plastic
but the "F"ing pols wont do that because it takes away money they think belongs to them
we need to start hanging them......................they might actually get it
