Just because a picture is good, doesn't mean that it is meaningful. Most of the pictures here are exactly that. Good/fancy but no/low content. Reflecting of current trends in society?
Not even the classical monochrome pic of an elderly couple is part of it..

They are pictures that are nice to look at, that evoke feelings because they show beautiful colours, or friendship, or a sense of space, or whatever the observer sees in them. They do that in a way that would be much more difficult to express in words. What more content do you need?
