Woman Turns An Old House Into A Luxury Mansion (30 PICS)

Lyndsey from Liverpool fixed up an old three-bedroom semi along with her partner and turned it into a stylish family home

The dreary pebble-dash exterior was renovated and now looks very inviting

Meanwhile, the back yard is unrecognizable!

Once you enter the home, you’re greeted with a modern-looking interior. The carpet looks loads better

While the bathroom was expanded by knocking down the wall separating the toilet and the tub

The garden looks like something out of a movie and the shed’s the star of the show

Notice how the new door is made of the same type of wood as some of the design accents inside the home

Here are a couple more before-and-after pictures showing just how big the transformation was

An electric fireplace now warms up the living room (though we had a soft spot for the old fireplace, too)

The difference is like night and day (quite literally in this case)

The stairs have had a massive upgrade

The entire home had an overhaul that completely changed the energy inside

Here’s what the renovation looked like mid-process and afterward

The kitchen is wide-open, gorgeous, and stylish in its minimalism

Plants can be found all around the house, including in the bedrooms, and they help bring a bit of nature into the interior

The kitchen and the living room are linked together, but separated by the counter

Cozy? We definitely think so. But what do you think?

Pelegrine,

Good point. Would like to know the cost. It's a lovely renovation but I bet it ran $200,000 quid.

Joey, quid = pound, so either $200000 or £200000

Katelin, they are awesome but yes, not the perfect country to have those. But at least they open up the space even if they're closed thanks to the big windows.

#30 I really like these big folding terrace glass doors - BUT, do you know how many days of summer there are in the UK (and Liverpool..) on which it is warm enough to actually open it full... 20 a year?

If you have the ability to throw around large amounts of money, you can transform anything.

Cora,That's a lazy persons excuse. Willpower is far more consequential in its ability to change things than throwing money around. Many materially poor people have accomplished amazing things. Discipline and commitment can move mountains.

Good job. Definitely has an eye for style. Her neighbors probably appreciate it too.

Good kitchen. Still, she's in mandatory lockdown with enforced city-wide covid testing now.

I notice that the before picture showed bars on the windows. Makes me wonder about the neighborhood. The local thugs must be all kinds of happy now. Hey look a flat screen! Last guy only had a sh#tty old pan and scan ha ha

Bige...Where are the bars on the windows, I cant see any?

Elisa....Rotherham is nowhere near to Liverpool. Liverpool is actually a really cool city, lots of history, amazing restaurants and bars.

Nice. How much time does she spend per week to clean the house? 36

I like her style but I think it’s a bit out of place in a unit that old. Personally, I would have restored the brick and played up the vintage charm just a little bit. That sleek, glamour style is still just a little out of place in that home. Just my opinion.
