It’s a good story, told in a realistic or quasi-realistic manner, gritty yet epic. The director is John McTiernan, who is also responsible for better recognized movies like Predator and Die Hard.”

“Thirteen. It’s basically like the dark, “real life” version of Mean Girls. A nice girl enters high school, falls in with the wrong crowd, and turns bad. Evan Rachel Wood plays the protagonist (first role I ever saw her in) and Nikki Reed her “bad influence.” It’s an incredibly well-acted, well-shot, and emotional film. Yet very few people seem to know about it, which is a damn shame.”
