Trying to kick down a family that not only created something beautiful, but is raising a huge amount for charity...
You obviously couldn't buy it yourself either...
...so basically, they didn't spent 26 grand, but played tax evasion game?
I think that 26 grand could have saved many families from homelessness.
During a pandemic this sort of thing is gross.
You mean the 26 grand that went back into an economy so that a business could continue to run and that business could feed their kids and spend money at other businesses so that those employees can feed their family. Why is there an assumption that 26 grand went into one guys pocket and was hidden away forever? That 26 grand paid for materials that moved and shared money around. Where do you think the original money came from? Poof! Print more! Give it away.
It would have helped keep desperate people off of the street and out of tents. What happens to people when they only stare at their own navels? They think about what THEY are missing and not how they can help others. with people like you cheering them on. You probably love those contests where they make the biggest pancake or whatever and then they throw all that food out once they proved they could do it. Wasteful and senseless.
Wasting money on this while people are being evicted from their homes with small children in tow is obscene show off behavior. Spending money on the poor also goes into the economy in a more productive way.
As for MY finances, I'll bet you I've done more for others than you have criticism. One thing I haven't done is wasted 26 grand on pics for my instagram in hopes I" go viral for invisible likes like these people have.
