Maybe his laptop's keyboard doesn't work, so to make it easier to use his touch screen, he flipped it over.
I'm going to guess that there is a logo on the lid, which they are not allowed to show for some reason. Said reason would be the true stupidity. Even odds, the guy in the pic is just as, "WTF," as the rest of us.
