how many stone do you weigh?
Royce Da 5' 9" is a great example.
#24. It is only the USA, Liberia and Myanmar that still officially use the Imperial measurement system, a system based on an English king's foot. Maybe USA and them other two backward countries should think about moving into the ... well, at least the 20th century.
#24. A sad but true fact ... the internet is intentionally intellectually limited (excuse my alliteration) to allow more Americans to use it. This bias means that we have to deal with their input .... such as them informing us of their weight in £s.
You Eurosnobs are always so lovely. The effect of the internet depends on how you use it. The actual sad fact is that most people only use it for entertainment or convenience while too few use it to further their educations or for self-improvement. That's hardly limited to the US alone.
... but there has to be a winner
And the nation who who has the most influence in the world Milly?
Snap!! IT AIN"T britian buttercup!
'Eurosnobs' hit me hard. That hurts. Better gonna go to the hospital. For free.
"A pint is a pound, all the world round." The Imperial system tied the most common substance on Earth (water) to both weight and volume, two fundamental units (quibble about weight vs. mass before Newton if you must). They also made it a base-2 system. It was useful, and repeatable, everywhere with very basic tools.
La French had a chance to make the Metric system tie length, time, and mass together but decided to pretend Paris was the center of the universe instead. Ironically, they also went to base-10 to make things easier to work with just on the eve of digital computing...and now every computer has to waste time converting things to/from base-2.
