Brent Underwood, 32, has bought Cerro Gordo Mines, one of the most successful mining towns in the pioneering days of the great American West and one of the key catalysts for the construction of Los Angeles in the late 1800’s, for $1.4 million.
Half-ruined town is located 300 miles from Los Angeles and 30 miles from the closest supermarket. He now wants to restore it and build a hotel there to attract tourists.
