First seen- Season one, episode 1 Our favorite awkward boss starts the series off with terrible leadership skills and is disliked by many of his employees.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Michael leaves in season 7 and moves to Colorado with his fiancée, Holly. The two get married and have kids together.

 

Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Dwight starts off as an ass-kissing employee and top salesman who hopes to take over the world someday.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 In the series finale, Dwight marries his on-again, off-again lover Angela. The two have a lovechild together that Dwight recently found out is his.

 

Jim Halpert (John Krasinski)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 This bored salesman spends more time staring at the receptionist, Pam, and pranking his frenemy, Dwight, than he does working.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Jim and his wife, Pam, move to Austin, TX (yeehaw) so Jim can run the sports marketing company he co-founded. The pair have two children together.

Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Angela is an uptight, judgmental accountant with a plethora of cats and intense religious beliefs.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 After divorcing a secretly gay senator, Angela reveals that their baby is actually Dwight’s. The pair get married in the final episode.

 

Kevin Malone (Brian Baumgartner)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 It’s pretty clear from the start that Kevin isn’t the brightest flower in the patch, but simple and lovable.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 After being fired from Dunder Mifflin, Kevin goes on to become a bar owner.

 

Meredith Palmer (Kate Flannery)

First seen- Season one, episode 2 Meredith started off as a background character with only a few lines here and there.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Though she’s the hilarious, semi-trashy wildcard throughout the series, it turns out she was working on her PhD the whole time.

 

Creed Bratton (Creed Bratton)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Creed started off as an uncredited background employee at Dunder Mifflin. He’s officially introduced in season two, episode 5 when Michael tries to fire him.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 After a nice evening with the Dunder Mifflin employees, Creed is taken away by the police. Turns out he’s a fugitive with a decade-long list of crimes. Are we really that surprised?

Pam Beesly/Halpert (Jenna Fischer)

First seen-Season one, episode 1 The shy receptionist spends most of her time trying to keep Michael under control. She’s engaged to the warehouse guy named Roy, but is awfully cozy with the salesman Jim.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Pam is a much more confident, assertive character at the end of the series. It’s her idea to put their house on the market and move with her husband, Jim, and two kids to Austin, TX.

 

Darryl Philbin (Craig Robinson)

First seen- Season one, episode 4 Darryl starts off as a background character in the warehouse, but eventually became a series regular.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 From warehouse worker, to warehouse manager, Darryl leaves the company and moves to Austin, TX as a Sports Marketer for Jim’s company.

 

Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling)

First seen- Season one, episode 2 Kelly comes in hot during episode 2 when she slaps Michael across the face for making a racist joke.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Through several relationships, Kelly and Ryan always come back to each other. She ditches her boyfriend and runs off with Ryan in the series finale.

 

Oscar Martinez ( Oscar Nuñez)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Oscar starts off as an accountant that we don’t know much about.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Though he’s still an accountant at Dunder Mifflin, Oscar announces that he’s running for state senate in Pennsylvania.

Phyllis Lapin/Vance (Phyllis Smith)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 She’s first shown as a saleswoman who works along Stanley.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Phyllis is happily married to her husband, Bob Vance (of Vance Refrigeration) and carries Angela down the aisle at her wedding.

 

Ryan Howard (BJ Novak)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Ryan starts off as the soft-spoken temp who gets a little used and abused by his superiors.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 After a toxic on-again off-again relationship with Kelly and getting fired from Dunder Mifflin, Ryan appears in the last episode raising a baby on his own. He ditches the baby and runs away with Kelly. Definitely still the same dude.

 

Stanley Hudson (Leslie David Baker)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Stanley is a grumpy salesman who is married with children. He quite literally counts down the days until retirement. And pretzel day.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Stanley is happily retired in Florida, which is pretty much what he’s wanted all along.

 

Erin Hannon (Ellie Kemper)

First seen- Season five, episode 23 Erin becomes the new receptionist after Pam quits to work for Michael Scott Paper Company.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 During the documentary panel, Erin is reunited with her birth parents. She also still appears to be dating another Dunder Mifflin employee named Pete.

Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein)

First seen- Season one, episode 2 The soft-spoken HR guy is absolutely hated by Michael Scott.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 Poor Toby is a lost little soul who hasn’t really figured out life after being fired from Dunder Mifflin.

 

Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Jan is introduced as Dunder Mifflin’s hard-ass vice president of northeast sales. She really can’t stand Michael, which we know doesn’t last…

Last seen- Season nine, episode 7 Jan is a mother and finance executive for the White Pages, which she tries to rub in her old employee’s faces.

 

Roy Anderson (David Denman)

First seen- Season one, episode 1 Roy is introduced as an unlikeable warehouse guy who is engaged to Pam.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 2 In his final episode, Pam and Jim attend Roy’s wedding and realize he’s grown up quite a bit.

 

Holly Flax (Amy Ryan)

First seen- Season four, episode 14 Holly is the goofy HR replacement for Toby who is a stickler for the rules and seems to have a lot in common with Michael.

Last seen- Season seven, episode 19 After getting engaged to Michael in the office, the pair move to Colorado to take care of her sick parents. We later find out that the two have kids together.

Andy Bernard (Ed Helms)

First seen- Season three, episode 1 Andy is introduced as Jim’s obnoxious new coworker at Dunder Mifflin – Stamford.

Last seen- Season nine, episode 24/25 After becoming the new Michael Scott and then inevitably getting fired, Andy comes back to say he’s doing well and has a fiancée.
