Agreed - #1 is like ordering a Harpy Spyderco and pretending you aren't preparing to go hannibal lector on people...
Many of those cars have only complete sealed units that have to be replaced. Volvo wanted ~$1,800 for the bi-xenon one in my car even though the lens was just clouded. Ordered one from China and had a mechanic replace and align it for $800.
