It's not supposed to be a test to see if you have it, but a depiction of what it seems like to the brain of a dyslexic person. I have it and I learned special skills to read. I don't decode the word but recognize it's shape, so my spelling has been a nightmare, and punctuation nearly meaningless. (I practice writing everyday to stay as good as I am.)
I have friends with multiple varieties and I like to adjust the colors scales of images until they say the pictures match. It's intriguing to see how the different kinds see different parts of the spectrum. For all us full spectrum folks the best way to understand is to wear colored glasses for a day tinted with the missing color. I still wish to get a pair of those special color correcting lenses for my friends, just to see their faces when witnessing the new colors.
