I live near a factory in Australia that makes cheese slices for supermarkets and for McDonalds.
The only difference is that the Maccas slices have food colouring added to make them more orange.

#3... Americans have no right putting British food down. In America most "ethnic" and cultural foods are Americanized. Try finding real Italian food in the USA that has not had tomato sauce or pasta in it. The term is "American-Italian"
In the UK the foods are as traditional as initially intended in the country the recipe came from

Cathy, JC-LOL no, just no. Most foreign food sold in the UK is not authentic, but modified for local taste, as is standard with every region serving foreign food. Also, Italian food served in the UK isn’t British food at all, now is it?

You’re delusional, and have probably burned your tastebuds off with all that world-renowned boiled British cuisine. And I’ll assume you’ve never actually experienced the US firsthand and probably get your cultural info from memes.

And the US has no ethnic food? Tell that to the South where soul food is the entire reason to live there.

A bit off topic but every country and every culture has food that they enjoy. My wife is from Hong Kong - they have amazing food. My barber is from Venezuela - they have amazing food. I am from the US and I love our food. I’ve been to Italy - there food is amazing. Arguments like these - why? Who cares? The world is burning and people make up stupid stuff like this just to it it ate people even more. I hope in my lifetime I see a worldwide culture shift to stop such petty BS.

It annoys me that the only UK cheese that I can usually find is Irish which is a very delicious cheese. I variety I wish I could find locally would be Tintern from the Abbey in the UK. It is heavenly, but shipping takes like 3-4 weeks.
