Philinda, It's only a tu quoque fallacy if you assume Louis was attacking Lucius's argument. The commment may have been Louis's observation about people who hold Lucius's views. You have no evidence either way and were too quick to come to Lucius's defence, exposing your own bias.
Actually, some of these machines are more enviromentfriendly than any other machine we've had before. Not fuel-wise though :P
