Actually yes. Our CO2 changes the climate, warmer air, defrosting permafrost, releasing trapped methane in the ground. The more CO2, the more methane from the ground. Vicious circle.
Burning the methane is actually a wise thing, as the resulting CO2 is less dangerous to the climate as the methane is.
